Stress-Free Living Blog - 1/14/08

"The world will judge you from your past performance, but you should only judge yourself based on your plan and vision to serve others unconditionally."

Accepting the labels placed on you, based on your achievements or lack thereof, enslaves you to the pressures and manipulations of this world, resulting into tremendous stress and frustration.

Your true value is what you are capable of contributing. When you utilize your experience and knowledge from both your successes and failures to focus on serving others unconditionally, one person and one project at a time, you live a life that is both fulfilling and stress-free.

"True confidence does not come from what others think of you, but from what you really think of yourself."

While worldly recognitions, possessions, and allocations, including wealth, experience, intelligence, and academic education may be able to impress the world and your ego, none of them can fool your inner self to provide true confidence.

Focusing on worldly allocations for your own self-gratification actually produces stress and depletes your inner confidence.

Whereas, when you utilize all of the resources available to you purely to add value to your society… without conditions, you increase your self-worth for true confidence and a life that is stress-free.

"While taking credit for work done may give you a seat on the team, giving credit to others makes you a leader."

Seeking credit for a job well done causes stress, and unknowingly, exposes our insecurities and lack of inner confidence… two qualities that are essential for leadership.

Rather than looking for the credit, true leaders look only to add value by bringing out the best in others.

When you give the credit, you bring out this goodness that others have to offer, while adding value to both them and the task for stress-free living. Thus, your seat on the team is as the leader.
