Stress-Free Living Blog - 1/07/08

"Even the best wisdom given to a polluted mind will become polluted."

It’s almost impossible to see, hear, and feel things as they truly are. Our insecurities, prejudices, ego, and limited knowledge influence everything we think.

It is like putting a beautiful smelling perfume into a bottle that previously contained garlic; surely the garlic will dominate the fragrance of the perfume.

Therefore, until you decontaminate yourself, you will never be able to smell the true fragrance of this life. And your contaminations… or garlic, will only be able to provide a stress-filled and polluted version of what you see, hear, and feel.

"Learn the art of making others happy, and you will find yourself to be the happiest."

Your true and lasting happiness comes from pleasing the real you, not from pleasing the human body and its senses. That is why all the sensory pleasures demanded by your body leave you feeling guilty, stress-filled, and wanting more; they do not offer lasting happiness.

Your real self, which is aware of its oneness, only gets joy from serving others and making a difference.

Therefore, to experience stress-free true and lasting happiness, simply learn the art of making others happy.

"Your gratefulness towards life empowers you to change every hurdle into an award-winning trophy."

Without gratefulness, it becomes easy to take on the mentality that we’ve done good things, and as a result, life owes us success. We might even blame others for our failures.

However, when you become unconditionally grateful for all of the gifts and learning experiences in your life, you no longer see failures or successes. Difficulties shift from hurdles to simply areas that need your attention.

When you give of your talents with utter gratitude and without conditions, to come up with solutions to these difficulties, you relieve stress and make a real difference worthy of an award-winning trophy.
