Stress-Free Living Blog - 6/25/07

"Luck comes from making a difference in the lives of others unconditionally."

Luck only exists as a result of making a difference. When we give selflessly, without any personal agendas, to a task that adds value to society, the Divine comes to our aide to share its abundance of resources, providing the help we need. We call this good fortune or luck. But when we keep a tally and get caught up in receiving an equal amount to our giving, this luck stops.

To live a life that is filled with stress-free luck, all you have to do is operate in alignment with the Divine… taking on a value-adding mission to make a difference in the lives of others… unconditionally.

When we have luck, it seems like everything goes right, but when we don’t, the opposite affect happens.

"The sole purpose of a religion is to make us understand and practice spirituality, which unites us, rather then divides us."

If you look at the founding scriptures of any of the major religions, you will find that at the core, they all have a basic purpose to bring us closer to a state of oneness, where we realize that we are all interconnected as part of the same one.

Unfortunately, with our limited human understanding, we forget this and get caught up in the traditions of each religion and compare them as better or worse, which segregates us... going against their very founding purpose!

To live stress-free, the secret is to let go of false identities and practice Oneness, in whatever religion you are a part.

"Happiness is a gift that you receive as a consequence of an act or thought that makes someone else happy."

We all want happiness, so we work incredibly hard, buy all kinds of things, and spend countless hours searching for it. The problem is that happiness does not come from a complicated formula or what we own, but simply from what we give and how we give it.

If you think back to a time when you were truly happy, you would realize that it came as a result of unselfishly doing something to make someone else happy. There were no agendas, or concern for what you do not have… just unconditional giving. That’s why a mother is so happy to go out of her way to make her child smile! This giving is key to stress-free happiness.
