Stress-Free Living Blog - 3/26/07

"You simply cannot practice what you are not. Therefore, to practice love, you have to first become love itself."

No matter how hard you try, eventually, people will always be able to see your true intentions. There is something innate in us that enables us to see through words and actions to who a person really is. Faking anything only causes stress.

If you want to portray a particular quality, like love, you must become it at every level of your being. When you genuinely become it, it becomes part of you, and is therefore portrayed in your every thought, feeling, and action. And by genuinely being who you are, you make yourself stress-free.

"Your state of perpetual gratefulness facilitates your link with the unlimited wisdom and powers of the universe."

When we become truly grateful for something, we can see the goodness in and remove the poison from any situation. Think about it, it’s impossible to feel hate or disgust for something for which you are grateful… you just can’t do it!

That’s why gratefulness is one of the most powerful feelings you can have. It puts your mind in the mode of positive thinking and links you to the universal wisdom and infinite powers of the universe. This positions you for a life where you are pure of mind, heart, and are completely stress-free.

"After all is said and done, the only real freedom you have is the freedom to choose and live your disciplines."

America was founded on freedom… life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. But if you really look at freedom, it only happens when you become disciplined. For example, unless you are disciplined to become educated, you’re not free to speak intelligently. And unless you’re disciplined to work, you probably can’t afford a house.

The great part is that the freedoms you choose are completely up to you… you can choose whichever disciplines you want and are free to study them as in-depth and as much as you want! When you take hold of and are grateful for this freedom, you will find yourself completely stress-free.
