Your ability to say no to yourself is the self-empowerment that leads you to self-respect and confidence.

Discipline is the secret to being able to have true freedom. Think about it, if you are disciplined in your education and study hard in college, you position yourself the freedom of a rewarding career. If you practice playing an instrument, you become free to play that instrument well.

Similarly, when you are disciplined with your values and say no to temptations, you empower yourself with true self-respect, which shows through in your every act and endeavor for true confidence. And it’s by being disciplined to yourself that you become free from stresses caused by our worldly temptations.

"Generosity begins with your capability to freely and genuinely complement the goodness and creativity that’s all around you."

We typically think of generosity as someone’s willingness to share their possessions or talents. Rarely do we consider generosity as the ability for people to freely complement the goodness and creativity all around them. But really, generosity begins with opening your eyes and giving appreciation for what is right in front of you.

Once you begin to take notice of and complement all that’s around you, you place yourself in a mode of gratefulness, which makes it easy to be generous in all areas of your life to live stress-free.

"It is very difficult to dislike a good listener."

We all like attention and to be heard. And being able to talk with a good listener provides us the opportunity to think things through with someone who cares. This makes us feel good about ourselves and the situation. That’s why everyone likes that person who is doing the listening.

To live stress-free, become a good listener… show interest in someone else and what they have to say. You will find that just by listening, caring, and giving a little attention, you are building a rapport with that person, which simultaneously makes you feel good about yourself because you are selflessly adding value to another person.
