Stress-Free Living Blog - 8/21/06

"You simply cannot exhibit your true character until your true self is unveiled."

Character is associated with values like honesty, kindness, and integrity. And we know we are supposed to follow them, but in spite of our efforts, we miss the mark… especially when no one is watching.

The truth is that any value, which is not followed unconditionally, is simply borrowed and not really yours.

An actor who performs a role as someone can never become that person. Similarly, your true character can never be an act.

To live stress-free, you must first unveil your true self. Then, your true character and value system will become available to you.

"You have not gained anything until you have gained your self-worth."

All the trophies, glories, and recognitions given to you by this world cannot fool your inner self about your true worth.

Your self-worth is not measured by your worldly successes, but by your own conscience… looking at your true intent behind your every thought and action.

Your self-worth, which is endorsed by your conscience, comes only from fulfilling your purpose of life… to add value to your society unconditionally and continuously. Therefore, to find your self-worth and live stress-free, all you have to do is follow your conscience.

"Difficulties are presented by nature’s school of wisdom to teach you the true meaning of life."

In general, whenever we face difficulties, we get frustrated and stressed. But, after working through stressful difficulties, we experience joy.

Just like a body builder must first perform extensive exercises and tolerate aches and pains to build strength, you must also first tolerate aches and pains that are given to you by nature to help you learn, so that you can experience joy.

And, when you confront difficulties with the sole purpose of serving and adding value, you learn the true meaning of life and live stress-free.
